December 2011

We had a fabulous December. My sister-in-law Michelle, was able to come spend most of it with us and her husband Justin's brother Brian got to come for a week around Christmas. It was really fun to have our own little Christmas together. The girls loved having Carter and baby Grant around to play with all the time. Eliza got very good at building houses for cars and roads for Carter to drive on. There was also a constant debate over who got to sit next to Grant in the car. I loved having Michelle around to hang out with and watch BBC movies with. We got very used to having them around and definitely went through some withdrawls when they left. We can't wait to see them this summer.

Justin's cousin Eric's wife Andy was able to come for a couple days with her three girls. All the girls
      had so much fun playing.

                                       Building Santa trains at Lowe's

We took Carter and Grant to the Raleigh Children's Museum and had a blast.

The Christmas Eve nativity play--Eliza assigned parts and planned costumes.

                              Christmas Eve Jammies...ready for bed

The girls separately choose gifts for each other and both chose each other soccer balls.

Turning Carter's Lightning McQueen from red to black with hot and cold water.

                                           Such a smiley boy

One of our favorite hangouts...Petsmart....the girls love to watch the dogs get groomed.

These were from the art museum in Rocky Mount, we were trying to go to the children's museum there but it ended up being closed. Luckily they had this fun little kids area in the art museum next door.

Justin said they would often put their Christmas tree outside after Christmas with popcorn strings for the birds to eat. We tried little boxes with birdseed. I am not sure if any birds came but the
girls had fun.
